Political Intrigue! Shenanigans! VHRP LIVE! closes its Fifth Season with the classic 1913 operetta Sweethearts, in which a handsome prince is about to take a throne, a lost princess is found, international politicians maneuver, and a pre-World War I #MeToo song about the “Game of Love” that will raise eyebrows. PLUS: “On Parade,” “Sweethearts,” “For Every Lover Must Meet His Fate,” “Jeannette and Her Little Wooden Shoes,” and “In the Convent They Never Taught Me That!” A Herbert love operetta at its best, respectfully revised by Alyce Mott. The New Victor Herbert Orchestra (NVHO) supports the company at this final show of the season.
This season’s company consists of Claire Leyden, Bray Wilkins, Sarah Caldwell Smith, Alexa Delvin, David Seatter, Joanie Brittingham, Drew Bolander, Vira Slywotzky, Tanya Roberts, Tom Carle, Jovanie Demetrie, Matthew Wages, Brian Kilday, JoAnna Geffert, Sue Case, Hannah Kurth, Colm Fitzmaurice, and Jonathan Fox Powers.
Specially Priced Online Tickets are $10 (students), $20 (seniors) and $35 (general admission) are on sale starting August 15th 2018. If you wait to pay at the door, it’s $10 (students), $25 (Seniors) and $40 (Adults). All working entertainment members get $20 admission with presentation of a union card.

The Victor Herbert Renaissance Project LIVE! is the world’s only company exclusively devoted to bringing the music of Victor Herbert , an Irish-American composer, conductor, musician, and orchestration legend to the attention of contemporary audiences. Herbert indelibly influenced the foundations of American musical theater as well as American popular music.
VHRP LIVE! is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 2014 by the company’s Artistic Director Alyce Mott, a leading Herbert historian and librettist and Music Director Michael Thomas. In addition, VHRP LIVE! comprises a core group of resident artists, as well as a rotating roster of classically trained singers who perform regularly in well regarded classical and popular music venues in New York City, nationally and internationally.
